You can open and close the BladeValve from the FerIT Solar Node or by using Rubicon [DeviceConnect](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DC).

> ℹ️ **Caution: Electrical damage**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ The device can also be moved manually using the motor override mechanism, however manual operation of the BladeValve via the manual override **should only be used in emergencies**: turning of a motor manually can induce a voltage and an electrical current that could damage the product. Turning the manual override with an electric drill is not recommended unless at very low speed.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ If the device has been powered off it will need to be recommissioned. See [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/1961164896](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/1961164896).

# Operate the BladeValve Using the FerIT Solar Node

1. Open the FerIT Solar Node by unscrewing the two fastening screws on either side of the antenna mounting.
2. Hold both the OPEN and CLOSE buttons down until both LEDs turn red (this takes about 5 seconds).
3. Use the OPEN and CLOSE buttons on the Power Module to move the BladeValve. If the BladeValve is not moved for 10 minutes (configurable), the buttons are deactivated and you must repeat step 2 to move the BladeValve.
