# Installation Process

The BayDrive installation process is:

1. Select a door kit (if required) and a mounting kit appropriate to the installation location. See the [82280 DD BayDrive Sales Drawing](https://bit.ly/3qoPvKg) and the following topics for guidance.
2. Review the [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2319876123](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2319876123) and [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2320760836](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2320760836) for the door kit and mounting kit selected.
3. Review the [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2323513368](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2323513368) for your intended installation location.
4. Install the [door kit](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2303394079) if there is no pre-existing door.
5. Install the [mounting kit](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2303262895) and [top beam](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2323972099) to support the BayDrive.
6. [Install the gate brackets](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=by&title=Installing%20Gate%20Brackets%20and%20Connecting%20the%20Lifting%20Channels&linkCreation=true&fromPageId=2303590401) and connect them to the BayDrive lifting channels.
7. [Install a FerIT Solar Node](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2303590555) to provide power and communications.
8. Optionally [Install a MicronLevel Air Sensor](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2303590589) to monitor water level.

# Tools and Materials

The tools and materials required depend on the nature of your site. You will need a standard range of tools and materials including sockets, spanners, masonry and conventional drill tips, and hex keys.

# BayDrive Installation Options

The BayDrive is designed to fit universally onto any culvert and has door kits to suit specific square and trapezoidal culverts if there is no pre-existing door. It can be mounted at a bay outlet, at a pipe end, or within a channel. The BayDrive top beam sits above the culvert and the actuation assembly is mounted in the center of the top beam. A suitable mounting kit is then fitted depending on the culvert dimensions. An optional level sensor and radio control unit are also available.

# Installation Kits

## Door Kits

If the structure being installed on does not have a built-in door, a door kit should be ordered to suit the dimensions of the structure. See the [82280 DD BayDrive Sales Drawing](https://bit.ly/3qoPvKg) for details of available door kits. See [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2303394079](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2303394079) for installation details.

## Mounting Kits

A mounting kit is required to connect the BayDrive to the structure and the door. See [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2303262895](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2303262895) for details of available mounting kits and installation instructions.
