Once the door kit and BayDrive have been installed, you can connect the drive lifting channels to the bay door.

# Connecting the Lifting Channel to the Brackets

Connect the gate to the BayDrive lifting channel using the linch pins supplied with the mounting kit.

# Adjusting the Mechanical Stops for the Fully Closed Position

Check the location of the protective bolts and adjust as necessary. Four socket head bolts are provided to prevent the gate from being over-closed. Ensure that the bolts are relocated appropriately in the provided holes. The bolts should be located to allow a small amount of excess closing. If the holes provided are not suitable, additional M8 holes can be drilled and tapped in the side of the actuator arms. In the event of the BayDrive actuating the door to these physical limits, the BayDrive will overtorque without causing damage.

# Adding Mechanical Stops for the Fully Open Position

> ℹ️ This step is **optional**. You should not need to install mechanical stops for the fully open position for most Baydrive installations. Contact Rubicon Support if you need further advice.

You can add mechanical stops to prevent the BayDrive from opening too far and damaging the rubber door. These stops are not provided by default. You must install them yourself.

> ℹ️ Newer BayDrive lifting channels may be supplied with a hole drilled and a screw and nut provided. This will not be in the correct location. You must drill a new hole as described below and fit the nut and bold in the new stop location.

To add a mechanical stop for the fully open position install the stop on **both** lifting channels as follows:

**Step 1**

Move the Baydrive to the fully open position.

**Step 2**

Mark a line 10mm to the rear of the lifting channel side plate (at the full open position)

**Step 3**

Raise the door and drill a 9 mm hole on the marked line 13mm below the top of the lifting channel.

> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ Take care not to damage the wire ropes. Ensure that the hole is drilled on same side of the lifting channels as the pre-drilled holes (that is, the opposite side of the lifting channel with respect to the rear swage positions).

**Step 4**

Fit the following to the drilled hole (use the screw and nut supplied in the pre-drilled hole if available):

- Socket Head Cap Screw M8x16 or 5/16”x 5/8”
- Hex Nut M8 or Hex Nut 5/16”

> ℹ️ Please ensure that any hard stops are fitted on BOTH lifitng channels.

# Check the Installation

After completing the installation make the following checks:

- Open and close the gate fully to check for any obstructions that may interfere with the lifting channel or door movements.
- Ensure that the rubber door and hinge area is not strained or under tension in either the fully closed or fully open position.
