Where sealing is required, the recommended polyurethane sealant is [Sikaflex-221](https://aus.sika.com/en/industry/appliance-and-equipment/hvac/sikaflex-221.html)

> ℹ️ Please ensure that you follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions for the use of sealant.

If an alternative sealant is sourced, it should conform to the below minimum performance specification:

- Viscosity: Non-sag
- Application temperature: 5°C to 40°C (41°F to 104°F)
- Temperature resistance: -50°C to +90°C (-58°F to 194°F)
- Shore A hardness: 40
- Tensile strength: 1.8 N/mm² (217.56psi)
- Shrinkage: 5%
- Elongation at break: 500%
- Joint width: 0-20mm (0-0.79in)
- Bonding capabilities:** **Suitable for making permanent elastic seals of high adhesive strength between rubber (EPDM) and concrete

Rubber door should be abraded or pre-treated prior to sealant application in line with manufacturer’s guidelines.
