This section explains how to retro-fit a framed door kit to replace an existing door installation.

> ℹ️ The framed door kit comes in the following configuration:

# Install the Gate

1. Remove the existing gate.
2. Cut or trim the existing Gate frame so that the top of the frame is parallel with the top surface of the channel.
3. Slide the BayDrive framed door kit into the existing frame.
4. Seal the entire perimeter where the frame adjoins the structure. See [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2320760836](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2320760836)for recommended sealants.
5. Fix the BayDrive framed door into the culvert with suitable anchors. See[https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2319876123](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BY/pages/2319876123) for anchoring details.

> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ The anchors are not included with the installation kit. The recommended Anchors size SS M8 or 5/16" with 15Nm or 11ft-lbs tightening torque.

# Check the Gate Installation

Carry out the following checks:

- Ensure that the downstream area is free of any obstructions such as previously installed objects.Ensure the rubber door and hinge area does not strain or under tension in either the fully closed or fully opened positions.
- Fully open  and close the gate. Ensure that nothing is interfering with the rubber door or the lifting channels during opening or closing movements.
- Ensure that the rubber door and hinge area does not strain or undergo tension in either the fully closed or fully opened positions.
