DeviceConnect is available as a web application at [https://farmconnect.rubiconwater.com/device-connect/devices](https://farmconnect.rubiconwater.com/device-connect/devices) or as a mobile app.

> ℹ️ DeviceConnect uses **Bluetooth®** wireless technology for connecting with devices. Please ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device and that you are using a Bluetooth compatible browser (if applicable).

# Install the DeviceConnect App 

### On Windows or Android

Open DeviceConnect from this link: [https://farmconnect.rubiconwater.com/device-connect/devices](https://farmconnect.rubiconwater.com/device-connect/devices) in a compatible browser (Chrome or Edge). You can use DeviceConnect in the browser or install it as a progressive web app (PWA). 

To do this:

- Click the **Install** icon in the address bar or choose **Install DeviceConnect** from the browser menu.

> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ If you install the application you will be able to use DeviceConnect offline. The application will automatically install any updates the next time you are connected to the internet.

### On an IOS Device

Install the **DeviceConnect** app from the Apple Store at [https://apps.apple.com/us/app/device-connect/id1614753800](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/device-connect/id1614753800).

# Setting a Custom FerIT Password

You can change the password for FerIT devices to a custom password.

> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ User passwords can only be up to 8 characters long and must be alphanumerical characters only. (0-9, a-z, A-Z)

## Instructions

1. Pair with the device.
2. On the **Drivers** tab, choose the BLE Interface Driver.
3. Enter the password in the **User Password **field.
4. Tap the **Send** button to send the new password to the FerIT device.
5. Enter the Access Code (or previous user password) when prompted and tap **Verify**.
6. Navigate back to the home screen and select the **Reset Device** option from the menu to restart the FerIT. This will ensure that the new password is saved.

You can now use your new password to log into the FerIT device.
