# FerIT Device Details

The Device tab shows the details of the FerIT device that you have connected to.

## Device Menu

The device menu has the following options:

| **Option** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| :dcDlFirmIcon: Update firmware | Start the wizard for Updating FerIT Firmware |
| :refreshGreyIcon: Restart device | Write changes to flash and restart the device |
| :dcDisconn: Disconnect | Disconnect from this device |

# FerIT Driver Details

The Drivers tab is where you can:

- View a list of installed drivers
- View and modify driver settings and data.
- Add and remove device drivers

## View the Driver List

Open the Drivers tab to view a list of the installed device drivers:

## View and Modify Driver Settings and Data

Select a driver from the list to view the settings for that driver.

> ℹ️ The details and tabs available depend on the specific driver.

## Polling device properties

- Tap the **Poll** button to fetch the data from the attached device.
- Tap the **Poll All** button to fetch the data for all tags on the current tab.

A popup notification will advise you whether the poll was successful and what data was retrieved.

## Modifying device settings

If a device setting can be modified, a **Send** button is available for that setting. To apply a change:
**Step 1**          

Enter the new setting value. This will enable the **Send** button.  

 **Step 2**            

Tap the **Send** button. You will be prompted to enter the FerIT device password. 

 **Step 3**            

Enter the password and wait for the value to be written to the device.

 **Step 4**

Tap the **Reset** icon on the DeviceConnect menu at the top right of the screen to write the value to flash memory and reset the device.

> ℹ️ Some settings will have the valid range for data specified in the driver configuration files. If you enter an invalid value, it will not be written to the device.
