# Alarms List

The Alarms module provides a list of all alarms active on the devices for the property.  An alarm can be triggered when a device datapoint reaches a designated threshold value. Use this screen to view the details of active alarms and to acknowledge alarms.

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Active alarms are also displayed on the FarmConnect portal homepage. Only unacknowledged alarms are displayed on the home page, but you can see both acknowledged and un-acknowledged alarms in the Alarms module.

You can filter the alarm list to show alarms for specific devices, for specific priorities, or to show alarms by acknowledgement status.

# Acknowledging Alarms

Acknowledging an alarm indicates that you are aware of the alarm. When you acknowledge an alarm, it doesn’t change the datapoint value or the alarmed status, but any alarm actions or alerts such as email or SMS messages are stopped until after the alarm state has cleared.

You can acknowledge any or all alarms in the Alarms List.

## Acknowledge Individual Alarms:

In the alarm list, the Acknowledge column shows whether an alarm has been acknowledged. Click the **Acknowledged** icon for the relevant alarm to acknowledge the alarm - the acknowledged icon will be greyed out and the acknowledged time will show on the list.

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Be careful not to tick the Acknowledged icon unless you intend to acknowledge the alarm. You can’t reverse an alarm acknowledgement.

## Acknowledge all Displayed Alarms

Acknowledge all unacknowledged alarms by ticking the **Acknowledge All Displayed Alarms** button on the Alarm list toolbar. If the list is filtered, only alarms currently displayed on the list will be acknowledged.

> ℹ️ **Example**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ For example, use the filters to display only alarms triggered before a certain date, then use the **Acknowledge All Displayed Alarms** tool to acknowledge only those alarms.

# Configuring Alarm Tag Settings and Alarm Actions

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Many devices have default alarm configurations - particularly for critical properties such as **Comms Status**, or **Battery Voltage**. You can also configure your own alarms and specify what happens when an alarm is triggered in the [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FCD/pages/2022113344](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FCD/pages/2022113344) screen.
