You can use the map panel to select bays, channels, and devices to include in your program steps. 

- Click on a bay to select it for irrigation in your program step. This will create a simple *Irrigate Bay* action for the selected bay.
- For event-based programs, click on a device to add an event for the device to the current action.

# Colour-coding on the Map Panel

If you select a bay - either on the map or by selecting an action for that bay in the Create Program Step panel - the bay will be outlined in red.

The bay fill colour depends on the program and step status as follows:

| **Colour** | **Status** |
| --- | --- |
| Dark green | The program has been synchronized but the step has not started yet. |
| Light green | The program has been synchronized and the step is in progress. |
| Yellow | The program has been synchronized and the step is completed. |
| Light blue | The program is out-of-sync and the step has already been executed. |
| Dark blue | The program is a template. |
| Red | The program is out-of-sync and the step has not been executed. |
