## Connecting the Rain Gauge

Thread the 81897 loom through the mounting bracket to the circuit board and connect to the screw terminals as below

Pronamic tipping bucket uses the ‘Rain Gauge Pulse' driver in the FerIT device

The default driver configuration assumes **Normally Open (N.O.)** configuration (**9602**) with a **4ml Spoon**, which is the typical hardware supplied by Rubicon.  Check if your device is configured in this way. 

1. Connect the battery
2. In DeviceConnect, scan for devices. Once found, connect the the FerIT
3. Navigate to the **Drivers** tab and select **Add**, then find and add the 'Rain Gauge Pulse' driver.
4. Enter the access code provided
5. Allow the FerIT to restart and then reconnect

## Driver Configuration

> ⚠️ The settings and data units are dependant on your browser language. Ensure you have selected English (Australia) to display as metric, or English (United States) to display as Imperial

> ⚠️ Driver operation requires FerIT to have an active LoRa connection to the network, in order to get a valid time sync for periodic calculations to occur.

1. In the Driver tab, select the Rain Gauge Pulse driver and navigate to the **Settings **tab
2. Apply the settings based on your rain gauge option, adjusting based on the ‘Settings Description’ table below
3. Once configured, reset the FerIT via DeviceConnect. Allow the FerIT to restart and then reconnect
4. In the Driver tab, select the Rain Gauge Pulse driver and navigate to the **Data **tab
5. Confirm that the pulse gauge is operating as expected by manually triggering a bucket tip, and observing that the VOLUME increases by the correct amount

### Settings Descriptions

### Data Variable Descriptions

All volume values are updated at either the time of last burst, or whenever there is a bucket tip
