## Driver Installation

The IO Driven Pump Controller uses the ‘VSD Promux' driver in the FerIT device

1. Connect the battery
2. In DeviceConnect, scan for devices. Once found, connect the the FerIT
3. Navigate to the **Drivers** tab and select **Add**, then find and add the 'VSD Promux' driver.
4. Enter the access code provided
5. Allow the FerIT to restart

## Configuring the Pump Controller

Refer to the manufacturer’s website for configuration instructions.  You will need to refer to the drawing provided with your FerIT Node to determine the configuration changes required in your device.

## Driver Configuration

### Control:

The control tab is used for basic control of a commissioned pump controller.

This page allows the starting and stopping of the device as well as basic status and usage diagnostics.

- **Motor Status** (Ready, Running, or Fault): Status inheritied from the IO logic, please review pump controller manual for specific details.
- **Motor Speed** (-100 to 100%): 4-20mA pump controller speed output shown as a percentage of maximum the maximum reported by the pump controller. A negative percent indicates a reverse motor direction.
- **Motor Amperage **(0-100%): 4-20mA pump controller motor current draw shown as a percent of maximum reported by the VSD.
- **State Change Status** (Ok, or Fault): State change fault indicator, this will fault if a start or stop command has been sent, but the reported** Motor Status **has not changed to the expected value (Ready, or Running) within the **State Change Timeout** (Default 5s).
- **Motor Speed Target **The target in which the FerIT IO logic will attempt to drive the **Motor Speed** (-100 to 100%) Use a negative percent to reverse the direction.
- **Start VSD**: Sends a command to the FerIT to start the pump controller, The driver will then pulse the IO to adjust the motor speed as set by the **Motor Speed Target.**
- **Stop VSD**: Sends a command to the FerIT to Stop the pump controller.

### Settings:

The settings tab is used for commissioning the FerIT to run with the target pump controller.

- **Modbus Address**: Address used by the FerIT for comms to the built in Promux PMDAIO2, must match the physical DIP switches.
- **Burst Period** (s): How often the FerIT will report data back to the remote host.
- **Polling Period** (s): How often the FerIT polls the built in PMDAIO2 data.
- Comms Status
- Comm Fail Count
- **VSD Type**: The type of pump controller the FerIT Driver is interfacing to. (Only supports ABB currently)
- **Stage Change Timeout **(s): Time that the FerIT will wait during an expected state change before raising a **Stage Change Status** alarm.
- **Motor Speed Threshold** (%): The allowed difference between the **Motor Speed** **Target** and the current reported **Motor Speed**. if outside of this range the IO module will pulse to increment / decrement speed.
- **Promux Input Filter** (ms x 10): Promux analog input filter time.
- **Promux A1/A2 Input Type** (mA, or V): Input type for the “Motor Speed” and “Motor Current” values. This will be dependent on the wiring setup. Use mA for 0-20mA (Default), and V for 0-10 Volts. Confirm that Promux A1/A2 is between 0-4096 on the **Promux IO tab**. (PMDIAO2 jumpers must also be configured)
- **Force Set Required Config**: Sends the current config to the Promux (Filter and Type).

### Promux IO:

This tab is used for raw diagnostics of the Promux IO module, the tags in this tab will show the current state of the Ins/Outs when polled via deviceconnect.

- **Hardware Version** Displays the Hardware version register of the Promux IO module
- **DIP switches **Shows the current state of the DIP switches
- **Digital Inputs **Shows the current state of the Inputs
- **Digital Outputs **Shows the current state of the Outputs
- **Promux Analog Status **Shows the current state of the Analog inputs (OK, Open Circuit, Over Range)
- **Analog Input 1 **Shows the raw ADC value of input one. (used to determine **Motor Speed**)
- **Analog Input 2 **Shows the raw ADC value of input one. (used to determine **Motor Amperage**)
- **Force Burst **Forces an on demand burst of data to the remote host independent of **Burst Period**
- **Force Periodic**: Forces an on demand poll of the IO module independent of **Periodic Period**
