The FerIT is the next generation of data monitoring, control, and communication device designed for on-farm applications. It is fully compatible with Rubicon’s FarmConnect range of products and can be used with Rubicon FarmConnect software to remotely monitor and control both Rubicon products and third-party devices.  It is designed to be rugged, easy to install, and easy to use.

The FerIT comes in two configurations:

- The [FerIT Node](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FER/pages/1932624051) is a low-power data collection device designed for monitoring applications.
- The [FerIT Node EP](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FER/pages/1932722354) is a version of the FerIT Node that uses only an external power source and does not have an internal backup battery.
- The [FerIT Solar Node](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FER/pages/1932296536) is   intended for higher-power actuation and control. It contains an integrated FerIT Node, solar power, regulator and battery. This adds the ability to drive devices such as Rubicon’s BladeValve and BayDrive.

Both the FerIT Node and the FerIT Solar Node can be supplied with either a LoRaWAN or Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (MHX – P400) radio connection for communication with other FerIT nodes and cloud-based software.
