The FerIT Node and the FerIT Solar Node are mounted on a pole using a suitable mounting bracket.

# Mounting requirements

- The FerIT should be mounted at least 1.2m off the ground, and above nearby crops or objects where possible.
- The FerIT must be mounted in an upright position to prevent water from entering the housing.
- The FerIT Solar Node should be oriented so that the integrated solar panel is facing in a suitable direction and is not shaded by buildings or vegetation.

# Screw torque requirements

- Tightening torque for a dry M6 stainless steel nut and bolt is 12Nm
- Tightening torque for a dry M5 stainless steel bolt is 5Nm

# Pole options

You can mount the FerIT to an existing pole or use the optional star picket (p/n 81821) or ground screw (p/n 81822) mounting options.

# Mounting a Junction Box to Manage Cables

You can optionally mount a junction box on the FerIT support pole to manage excess cable. Order the Junction Box Mounting Kit (P/N 81657).
