On installations using the Aquamonix i300 flowmeter, Rubicon recommend that the  FerIT-EP node is  installed in the flowmeter transmitter-enclosure and is externally powered by the flowmeter battery.

# Installing the FerIT – EP Node

- The FerIT -EP Node is mounted on the right-hand wall of the meter box using a Velcro strip
- A RS485 TTL 5V Converter is mounted on a plate with a Velcro strip, the plate is installed on the i300 circuit board
- The FerIT Node to i300 MODBUS loom is run from the EP FerIT node to the RS485 TTL 5V converter
- The Power portion of the same loom replaces the existing battery looms
- The i300 to convertor loom is run from the TTL convertor to the flow meter circuit board
- The convertor is powered from the circuit board using the convertor power loom

# Installing the Antenna

- The loom is plugged into the FerIT Node installed in the cabinet with the SMA connector
- The loom is pulled through a glanded hole in the back of the cabinet into the solar panel mount
- The Loom is terminated into an N-Type connector upgrade kit
- The N-type connector is plugged into the antenna
- The antenna is mounted on a bracket which is screwed into the back of the solar panel onsite
