# Replacing the Motor

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️ If you are replacing an iMotor PCB rev.14 with rev.15, you must replace the plastic screws securing the PCB with steel screws (p/n 77259).

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Motors now use a re-usable gasket (P/N 83115).
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ - If you are using re-usable gaskets you do not need to replace the gasket. You just need to replace the dessicant (using the kit 83416).
> ℹ️ - If you are not using re-usable gaskets you will need to replace both the gasket and the dessicant.

**Step 1**

Remove the motor cover by unscrewing the six M8x25 socket head bolts. Discard the gasket and the desiccant packages.

**Step 2**

Disconnect the loom from the top of the motor.

**Step 3**

Undo the four M8x25 socket head bolts connecting the motor and the mounting plate from the base assembly. Discard the gasket if you are using a disposable gasket or clean it and set it aside if you are using the newer re-usable gasket.

**Step 4**

Undo the four M5x16 countersunk screws connecting the motor to the motor mounting plate.

**Step 5**

Clean the sealing surfaces.

**Step 6**

Attach the new motor to the motor mounting plate.

**Step 7**

Attach the motor and the motor mounting plate to the base assembly. Torque the bolts to 17Nm. Use anti-seize on the input shaft and ensure that the key is fully engaged.

**Step 8**

Connect the loom to the top of the motor and tape two desiccant packages onto the motor.

**Step 9**

Reinstall the re-usable gasket (or use a fresh disposable gasket), replace the motor cover and secure using the six M8x25 socket head bolts. Torque the bolts to 17Nm.
