# RiserDrive

When storing the RiserDrive, ensure that the motor housing is oriented between horizontal and vertical. It should never be oriented past the horizontal. This is to ensure the electronics are never flooded even if the seals are compromised.

When transporting the RiserDrive:

- Ensure that the cable is restrained away from any sharp edges to avoid abrasion of the cable.
- Avoid tensioning or strapping on guards which might distort the walls of the RiserDrive.
- Ensure that the drive hex coupling is securely tightened.

# Batteries

- Store in a cool and dry location, protected from the elements.
- Keep batteries and battery packs away from strong oxidizers and acids.
- Disconnect batteries from equipment to eliminate parasitic loads that may discharge the battery pack.
- Prior to long-term (more than 6 months) storage of the Solar Node large battery pack, charge the battery pack to at least 30% state-of-charge. Storing a heavily discharged battery pack can result in permanent damage and decreased capacity.
- Always recharge the Solar Node large battery pack after 1 year in storage.
- All batteries or battery packs must be stored in a dry, cool (25°C +/-5°C, 10-50% RH) and well-ventilated area. Elevated temperatures can result in reduced battery life.

# FerIT Solar Node

Store the FerIT Solar Node in an upright position to prevent water from entering the housing.
