# Configuring Irrigation Start Time in FarmConnect

If you are using a SmartFront sensor with the [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FCD](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FCD), you must manually set the **Irrigation Start Time** for the sensor to the same time as the **Program**[[](#) **Start Time** that you set on the [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FCD/pages/2029846553](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FCD/pages/2029846553) screen. This will give the sensor enough time to monitor and calculate the progress of the advancing water-front.

## Setting the Start Time for the SmartFront:

### Gateless Install

**Step 1**

From the main menu choose **Device Status > Water Front Sensor Overview**.

**Step 2**

Set the Irrigation Start Time for the bay to the same date and time as the **Program Start Time** that you set for the irrigation program on the Irrigation Programs page.
