# Inspect the bird spikes

Inspect the bird spikes and straighten any bent spikes. If spikes are broken or missing, replace the precipitation filter.

# Inspect the Filter

**Step 1**

Remove the precipitation filter by rotating it clockwise and lifting it out of the top of the Weather Station.

**Step 2**

Inspect the filter. Clean the filter if it is dirty or clogged with debris. Replace it with a new filter if it is cracked or broken.

**Step 3**

Inspect the funnel for dirt and debris and clean the filter if necessary.

**Step 4**

Reinstall or replace the filter. Lock it into place by rotating counter-clockwise.
